On October 13th, Southend YMCA participated in an exciting global record breaking attempt, as part of the YMCA World Challenge 2012: Hoop Springs Eternal event.
Not many people know that the YMCA invented basketball back in 1891 and to celebrate this, Southend YMCA alongside YMCAs from all over the world, will be trying to achieve 5 million people worldwide all shooting hoops simultaneously!
